If you have been affected by a disaster, you can call 2-1-1 to find up-to-date disaster related information and resources in your community.
211MD provides rumor control and offers up-to-date information about constantly changing disaster related resources. We have established contacts to get the most recent information about evacuation plans, temporary shelters, feeding sites, water trucks, medical care etc. We can also give information about which local service providers are still able to offer their typical services. Providing this kind of essential and can free up emergency responders to do the work they are best suited to do for the community. We try to take a burden off of the 911 system, leaving it free for real emergencies.
